Day 12 of ERA’s 12 Days of Electronic Giveaway

By electronic recycling association December 24, 2024

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is thrilled to conclude its 12 Days of Electronic Giving, an annual initiative dedicated to closing the digital divide across Canada. By refurbishing and donating electronics, ERA equips non-profit organizations and individuals with essential tools to thrive in today’s technology-driven world.

On the final day of this year’s campaign, ERA proudly donated to two incredible organizations, helping them enhance their impact and serve their communities more effectively:

Humanitarian Solidarity for Development and Empowerment Canada (HSDE Canada) (Winnipeg MB)

Donation: 5 desktop computers, 3 projectors, and 3 printers.

This donation will significantly enhance HSDE Canada’s office technology capabilities, enabling the organization to better serve its community. With these updated resources, HSDE Canada plans to streamline its operations, improve service efficiency, and host digital and computer literacy workshops. These workshops aim to empower individuals with the skills needed to thrive in the modern digital landscape. ERA’s support is instrumental in helping HSDE Canada achieve its mission of empowering communities and driving development.

Free Flow Dance Theatre Inc. (Saskatoon, SK)

Donation: 1 laptop, 1 desktop computer, 1 monitor, and 1 projector.

Free Flow Dance Theatre faced significant challenges due to outdated technology, with some of their equipment over 15 years old. This impacted their ability to deliver programs efficiently, especially as they adapted to online platforms for workshops and meetings. ERA’s donation will help the organization update its equipment, streamlining online workshops, improving virtual meeting capabilities, and enhancing their arts education programs.

With these new resources, Free Flow Dance Theatre can better meet the needs of its participants and continue enriching Saskatchewan’s cultural landscape. Their mission to deliver engaging and accessible arts education will greatly benefit from ERA’s support, ensuring a brighter future for their programs and the communities they serve.

As the 12 Days of Electronic Giving comes to a close, ERA is honored to have supported so many deserving organizations, empowering them to overcome technological barriers and further their missions. Together, we’re building stronger, more connected communities across Canada.
