Join ERA for a Free Electronics Recycling & Data Destruction Event at Keshen Goodman Public Library
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is pleased to announce a Free Electronics Collection and Data Security Shredding Event in partnership with Keshen Goodman Public Library in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Taking place on Friday, April 25, 2025, this event offers residents and businesses a secure and environmentally responsible way to dispose of unwanted electronics.
This initiative supports both environmental sustainability and data privacy, giving the public an opportunity to recycle electronics while ensuring their sensitive information is properly destroyed.

At this event, ERA will provide on-site hard drive shredding so participants can witness the secure destruction of their data in real-time. This free service is designed to give peace of mind while encouraging the responsible disposal of electronic waste.
By attending, you are helping to reduce landfill waste, support sustainable practices, and contribute to technology access for Canadian charities and schools. Usable equipment collected will be refurbished and donated to organizations in need. Certificates of data destruction will be available upon request.
