ERA Donates 10 Desktop Computers to the International Women of Saskatoon to Support Refugees and Newcomers

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to continue its ongoing support of organizations that empower communities through technology access. Most recently, ERA donated 10 desktop computers to the International Women of Saskatoon (IWS) to help them assist refugees and newcomers in their integration journeys.

IWS, a long-standing nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting immigrant and refugee women and their families, has previously received computer donations from ERA. These devices were distributed directly to clients in need, significantly improving their access to essential digital tools. However, growing demand for computer access prompted IWS to take the next step.

With this new donation, IWS plans to establish a dedicated computer room within their facility. This space will serve as a vital hub for clients—most of whom do not own personal computers—offering access to the internet, printing services, and other essential digital resources.

This initiative is a prime example of how repurposed electronics can transform lives. By extending the life of technology through donations, the ERA not only reduces electronic waste but also bridges the digital divide for underserved communities across Canada.

We’re honored to support organizations like the International Women of Saskatoon, who are on the front lines of community empowerment and integration.
