ERA Donates a Laptop to OMRA Shelter to Support Refugee Families
At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we are committed to reducing e-waste while making a meaningful impact in communities across Canada. Our latest donation of a laptop to the OMRA Shelter in Ottawa, ON, is helping to support an essential initiative that provides stable housing for immigrant and refugee families.
The donated laptop will be dedicated to the RAA program manager, enabling them to efficiently manage client, donor, and financial information for the organization. As a newly established program, RAA has received initial grant funding, but resources are limited. OMRA aims to allocate as much of its funding as possible to directly assist families with rental subsidies, which is why they sought donated equipment.
At ERA, we believe that access to technology should never be a barrier to important social initiatives. By repurposing electronic devices, we not only extend the lifecycle of valuable tech but also support nonprofit organizations that make a real difference in people’s lives.
We are proud to contribute to OMRA Shelter Corporation’s mission and look forward to seeing the positive impact of Rent Assist Allies in helping families build stable futures.
