The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) was happy to provide 2 computers to Osoyoos Desert Society to replace their old tech with faster working computers.
Osoyoos Desert Society is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1991 to conserve the rich, biologically diverse habitats of British Columbia’s southern interior. In 1998, as part of its education and advocacy efforts in support of the south Okanagan’s natural spaces and species, the Society opened a nature interpretive facility – the Osoyoos Desert Centre. The South Okanagan is home to one of the highest concentrations of rare and at-risk species in all of Canada. Through its conservation, restoration and education efforts, the Osoyoos Desert Centre strives to generate public knowledge, respect and active concern for these fragile and endangered ecosystems. The ERA (Electronic Recycling Association), is focused on reducing unnecessary waste and/or environmental impact through effective management of retiring electronic and IT equipment. As a non-profit organization with deep community roots, it is our “reuse” focus and donation activities that set us apart from others in this sector.
