The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is ecstatic to announce the donation of 5 desktop computers to EmployAbilities. The devices will be used to help the youth of EmployAbilities with online learning.
Despite advances to promote diversity in the workplace, many people face barriers to employment. With support and guidance, EmployAbilities believes they can help their clients overcome these barriers by providing opportunities for individuals to develop work-related skills. This gives every client they serve the best shot to thrive self-sufficiently in employment.
EmployAbilities is a charitable, non-profit organization in Edmonton that provides skill development, training, and employment services to Albertans with medical conditions, mental health challenges, permanent injuries, disabilities, and employment barriers.
EmployAbilities offer the following services:
- One-on-one career and employment planning
- Access to computers and assistive technology
- Assistance in identifying training needs and job targets
- Employment readiness and other related workshops
- Access to job leads
- Resume writing and review
- Information on government and community services
- Staff available to assist with your job search, placement, and retention services
- Assistance filling out forms, including AISH, CPPD, WCB, PDD, and Income Support
All of their services are provided at no cost. EmployAbilities thinks helping clients reach their greatest potential in the workplace shouldn’t come at a price.
