The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce its recent donation of 9 laptops to the Ubuntu Neighbourhood Organization (UNO) in Toronto, Ontario. These laptops will play a pivotal role in supporting UNO’s Black Girls in Tech program, an initiative designed to empower Black women in The Esplanade community by fostering their technological skills.
Access to these electronic resources is critical for building the infrastructure needed to support educational and skill-development programs aimed at bridging the gender gap in the tech industry. The laptops will serve as vital tools for participants in the Black Girls in Tech program, providing them with the equipment necessary to learn and grow in this rapidly evolving field.
UNO’s mission is to remove barriers to tech education and ensure equal opportunities for Black girls in The Esplanade community. By facilitating access to technology, this initiative aligns with their vision of creating a more inclusive tech industry and inspiring the next generation of women to thrive in tech careers.
