By electronic recycling association December 29, 2020

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is happy to donate a laptop to assist Heidi’s Horse and Hound Retirement. They will be using it for administrative work inside the non-profit to help them push forward their mission.

“At present, Heidi Sauder-Mach is running HHH with a volunteer Board of Directors (including myself), and one very old laptop computer. Anything would be better than what Heidi is using now.” –  HHH

Heidi’s Horse and Hound Retirement is a registered Not for Profit, located in Meaford, Ontario. Specializing in foxhounds, they rehabilitate and re-home ‘retired’ hunting hounds and horses.

They work with hunt clubs, private dog owners and other dog rescues. They are passionate in the pursuit of finding loving homes for these hounds to live out their years.

Heidi’s Horse and Hound Retirement find forever family’s for the happy hounds to spend their lives with. They are obedient and responsive, friendly & social enjoying the companionship of people and other animals.

They easily become part of the family. The retired hounds are not looking to hunt anything but the couch. The younger hounds make perfect riding, hiking or walking companions.

Heidi’s Horse & Hound Retirement try to give all the hounds the best training possible before they leave their care, as well as ensuring they are healthy, happy hounds.

They are lucky to have the support of the local veterinarians at the Thornbury Veterinary Hospital. Thornbury Veterinary Hospital work with Heidi’s Horse & Hound Retirement to spay, neuter & resolve any other issues if needed.

Heidi’s Horse & Hound Retirement goal is to give these dogs the best chance possible and be adopted into loving homes. For more information about this Not for Profit please visit their website here.

The ERA works with charities across the country to provide refurbished electronics for their programs. This gives them access to reliable technology while allowing them to apply their resources to what they’re good at: developing programs to help Canadians struggling with poverty, health concerns or are otherwise experiencing misfortune. Because the Electronic Recycling Association is an advocate of equality, we are not specifically affiliated with a given charity. The ERA helps hundreds of charitable organizations each year through the donation of necessary computer equipment. Organizations qualified for donations through ERA’s donation program include: registered charities, non-profit organizations, care facilities (seniors homes, hospitals, daycares, etc.) and educational institutions.

We strive to meet reasonable requests for IT and related equipment, such as computers, laptops, projection equipment, printers, phones and related peripherals. Our goal is to fulfill every single reasonable request for a computer donation that we receive, and we are thrilled to announce that we are getting close to achieving this goal. Since 2004, we have donated thousands of computers to Canadians in need and this number grows daily.

If you are looking to safely and securely dispose of any unwanted electronics, call the ERA to see if you are eligible for a free pickup. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada. We believe that reuse before recycling is critical in managing the waste created by computer hardware, and by offering industry leading data destruction for all equipment we receive, we have securely repurposed hundreds of tons of equipment. Because not everything ERA receives can be reasonably repurposed, we have partnered with certified recycling organizations to process equipment that has reached the end of its productive life.
