The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently made a meaningful donation to a client at the Centre for Newcomers in Calgary. This donation, a laptop, will provide critical support to a low-income family of four who recently arrived from Kharkiv, Ukraine.
As this family rebuilds their lives in Canada, having access to technology is essential. The parents will be using the laptop to search for employment opportunities and participate in online courses and webinars, helping them gain the skills they need to settle and thrive.
Their 5-year-old daughter, who has just started kindergarten, will also benefit from the laptop as she embarks on her educational journey.
The ERA remains committed to helping those in need by repurposing electronics and empowering individuals and families through technology access. This donation is a small step in supporting this family’s transition to a new life in Canada, offering them the tools they need to succeed.
