Care Through Tech, a federally-recognized non-profit organization, which aims to enable equitable access to technology and essential online resources. By supplying smartphones and laptops to the underserved populations across Ontario and Quebec.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, technology has advanced immensely in Canada. With healthcare, educational, and social services transitioning online, smartphones and laptops have become a necessity. While this is improving our quality of lives, we tend to forget that the quality of lives of those who cannot afford devices are being negatively impacted. For instance, primary care practitioners are noticing an increasing prevalence of inadequate chronic disease management in underserved populations that resulted from the implementation of telemedicine. Care Through Tech recognizes that specific marginalized community members have limited access to essential online resources and services.
