Looking to give back to your community while gaining hands-on tech experience? The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is welcoming volunteers at our Winnipeg location to help refurbish electronics, reduce e-waste, and support local charities.
Whether you’re a student needing to fulfill volunteer hours, someone curious about technology, or simply passionate about sustainability – this opportunity is for you. No technical experience is needed – just bring your enthusiasm, steel-toed boots, and a willingness to help!
What You’ll Be Doing
As a volunteer with ERA, you’ll participate in a variety of tasks that support our mission to reduce electronic waste. Your responsibilities may include:
- Sorting different types of cables and electronic components
- Testing and cleaning computer monitors
- Removing stickers or labels from devices
- Organizing accessories like laptop bags and RAM
- Disassembling non-working electronics to salvage reusable parts
- Assisting with warehouse organization and unloading donations
- Keeping the equipment and workstations clean and orderly
Why Volunteer with ERA?
- Gain hands-on experience with tech and electronics
- Support a meaningful cause by keeping e-waste out of landfills
- Work with a friendly and mission-driven team
- Make a local impact by helping donate refurbished devices to those in need
Once you complete 24 hours of volunteer service, you’ll receive a refurbished laptop or desktop computer as a thank-you for your support, along with a certificate of appreciation. It’s our way of giving back to those who help move our mission forward.
