Shell Canada is a long-standing client of the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) and a huge contributor to our donations program. Without organizations like these who make a concerted effort to be involved in their community, ERA would not be able to help as many organizations every year as we do. We were proud to partner on the donation of 3 laptops the Edmonton Immigrant Services Association (EISA). This donation will help support newcomer families with school age children who are in need of devices to complete homework and achieve their future goals.
Edmonton Immigrant Services Association (EISA) was established by five individuals on December 16, 1976, under the Societies Act as a non-profit society. EISA is a direct result of an awareness that immigrants and refugees to Edmonton and the area did not meet all their needs. EISA’s founders recognized the newcomers’ unexpected life realities significantly affected their lives and their integration into Canadian society. The services were to be provided to immigrants and refugees in Edmonton and the area, regardless of age, gender, religion, nationality, or ethnic origin.

About the Electronic Recycling Association
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada.
You can help students like these too! All you have to do is call ERA to help you dispose of any electronics you don’t have a need for anymore. We will work to refurbish the items and donate them back into the community.
