Celebrate Earth Day with ERA
As Earth Day approaches on April 22, 2025, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) invites businesses across Canada to take part in a meaningful environmental initiative. From April 1 to April 30, 2025, we’re offering FREE electronic waste pickup for companies and organizations.
A Corporate Sustainability Opportunity That Makes a Difference
This April, take the opportunity to make a real impact. By recycling your outdated electronics through ERA, your organization helps keep hazardous e-waste out of landfills while giving back to the community. We securely collect and process electronics such as desktops, laptops, phones, monitors, printers, and more.
All eligible items are refurbished and donated to Canadian charities, schools, and nonprofits in need — creating a powerful ripple effect of environmental and social good.
Note: A minimum of 20 eligible electronic items is required to qualify for free pickup.
Why Electronic Recycling Matters
Did you know?
- The world generates over 50 million tonnes of e-waste every year — and that number continues to rise.
- Only 17.4% of global e-waste is recycled properly, meaning most of it ends up in landfills or is improperly handled.
- Many electronics contain hazardous materials like lead, cadmium, and mercury, which can leak into the environment if not responsibly managed.
Electronic recycling protects our planet and promotes digital inclusion by redirecting technology to those who need it most.
