Through the generous donations of our clients, the ERA is able to provide thousands of devices yearly to Canadians in need! We would like to thank Grosvenor Americas for partnering with us to donate 7 laptops to Waverley Elementary School in Vancouver to support student learning.
“We are grateful for organizations like yours! Thank you for the support!” exclaimed Waverley Elementary school teacher.
Grosvenor Americas develops and invests in vibrant urban locations where our activities can make a positive contribution to neighborhoods and communities.
At Waverley School, it is their stated purpose that they will do everything they can to include all students as an important part of the school.
They believe that all children have the potential to be successful learners and that staff, students, and parents have specific responsibilities related to the learning process. They also believe that the learning environment and available resources are critical factors in maximizing student growth.
Their primary goal is to provide a supportive, warm, and open climate in which students and staff individually and collectively grow intellectually, physically, socially, and culturally. Cooperation between the school, home, and community is encouraged in order to enhance student achievement. Everyone is ‘in’.
Founder and CEO, Bojan Paduh, formed the ERA because he saw a great need for better management of the waste created by electronics. The other reason is that he knows, from personal experience, how much a donated computer can mean to a family who can’t afford to purchase one.
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada. We believe that reuse before recycling is critical in managing the waste created by computer hardware, and by offering industry-leading data destruction for all equipment we receive, we have securely repurposed hundreds of tons of equipment. Because not everything ERA receives can be reasonably repurposed, we have partnered with certified recycling organizations to process equipment that has reached the end of its productive life.
