ERA Supports Mamas for Mamas Calgary with a Computer Donation
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is dedicated to reducing electronic waste while supporting charitable organizations across Canada. Recently, ERA had the opportunity to donate a desktop computer to Mamas for Mamas Calgary, a nonprofit organization that provides essential support to families facing poverty.
Supporting Families in Need
Mamas for Mamas Calgary operates a free “karma” market, offering essential items to families in need. Their services include access to:
- Diapers and baby wipes
- Formula and baby equipment
- Clothing, shoes, and hygiene products
- Toys, books, and food supplies
Beyond their marketplace, the organization runs six additional programs designed to support low-income families. They also provide a range of virtual psychoeducational courses, ensuring that parents have access to valuable resources.

Prior to receiving this donation, the Mamas for Mamas Calgary team relied on a personal work laptop to facilitate checkouts and manage operations. With a dedicated team of five staff members, the demand for a more reliable and efficient setup was evident. By providing a desktop computer, ERA has helped alleviate some of the challenges the organization faced, allowing them to better serve families in their community.
