ERA Donates 5 Laptops to Les Maisons Transitionnels O3 in Montreal

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce a recent donation of five laptops to Les Maisons Transitionnels O3: On Our Own, a Montreal-based organization dedicated to supporting young, at-risk parents in building brighter futures for themselves and their children.

O3’s mission focuses on helping residents achieve personal goals related to parenting, financial literacy, education, and career development. A key part of this journey is access to technology—something many residents don’t have. Until now, the organization had no communal laptops available for resident use, meaning that individuals without their own devices were left without a critical tool for learning and progress.

With the support of ERA’s laptop donation, O3 can now:

  • Support study nights for parents re-enrolling in school or taking career-advancing courses
  • Foster digital literacy, an essential skill in today’s world
  • Provide laptops in the office for staff, interns, and volunteers to enhance daily operations and program delivery

At ERA, we believe in creating opportunities through technology reuse. By repurposing electronic devices that would otherwise become e-waste, we empower charitable organizations like O3 while helping to protect our planet.
