The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is excited to announce that with the help of our generous donor Nutrien, we donated 6 refurbished laptops, 6 additional monitors, and 2 desktop computers together to the Elizabeth Fry Society (EFS) in Saskatoon.
The Elizabeth Fry Society is a not for profit, charitable organization located in Saskatoon, SK, and incorporated for the purpose of working with and advocating for women and girls involved in the criminal justice system. EFS Saskatoon’s clients are largely First Nation and Métis women. With the support of Indigenous Elders, EFS Saskatoon delivers culturally safe supports and programs and works to address systemic racism and violence across justice and social welfare domains.
Like many businesses and organizations, the EFS has had to move to a virtual delivery model due to COVID with employees working from home. The donated devices will be used by staff, volunteers, and clients to provide services to those marginalized women and their families across the province of Saskatchewan. Having access to computers will provide much-needed technology to develop personal and professional support networks and reintegration for the clients at EFS.
The Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan strives for a just community, advocation for the rights, freedoms, and fair treatment of all women and girls involved with the justice system. For more information about this organization please visit their website here.
The Electronic Recycling Association is committed to making electronic recycling beneficial for everyone including the environment! If you have any leftover electronic devices that you no longer need, or are not working as it should be, then we will take them off your hands, refurbish them, before giving them to charities across Canada.
We strive to meet reasonable requests for IT and related equipment, such as computers, laptops, projection equipment, printers, phones, and related peripherals. Our goal is to fulfill every single reasonable request for a computer donation that we receive, and we are thrilled to announce that we are getting close to achieving this goal. Since 2004, we have donated thousands of computers to Canadians in need and this number grows daily.
Your donation can make all the difference to someone, as well as helping to reduce the impact of e-waste. Be part of the solution by donating your devices today. Call us at 1877-9EWASTE to book a pickup.
