Secure E-Waste Disposal: Langley RCMP and ERA Host Free Electronics Recycling & Shredding Drive

By electronic recycling association May 4, 2023

Langley RCMP and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) are partnering to help protect your private information through secure data destruction. Join us on May 25th, 2023 from 10am to 2pm at the Otter Co-op Retail Centre (3650 248 St, Langley Twp, BC, V4W 1X7) for this free event, where citizens are invited to bring their unwanted electronic devices such as hard drives, computers, laptops, phones, tablets, tapes, and other small devices that store sensitive data.

At the event, your electronics will either be securely destroyed or wiped clean for free (you decide which option you prefer when you arrive). Data storage devices will be destroyed on-site with the use of ERA’s shredding machine, ensuring that data cannot be recovered from old equipment.

In addition to recycling electronics, Langley RCMP invites you to help the Aldergrove Food Bank by bringing non-perishable food donations to the event.

We accept various types of electronics, including consumer electronics, desktop computers, handheld devices, laptops, printers, peripherals, phone systems, racks, servers, software, and specialty items. However, we do not accept household or personal appliances.

Join us in protecting the environment and your personal information through safe and secure e-waste disposal!
