The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently partnered with Shell Canada to donate 21 laptops to the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA). This donation will help CIWA support newcomer women in Calgary by providing them with access to technology and the opportunity to participate in various programs and services.
Laptops are a crucial resource for newcomers to Canada, as they can help individuals stay connected with their communities and access important resources, such as job search tools and language learning programs. Unfortunately, many newcomers may not have the means to purchase a laptop, making access to technology difficult.
Through this donation, Shell Canada was able to provide 21 laptops to CIWA, ensuring that newcomer women in Calgary have the tools they need to succeed. As a long-standing client and donor to ERA’s donation program, Shell Canada has consistently shown its commitment to giving back to the community.
ERA is grateful for the ongoing support of Shell Canada and other donors, whose contributions make it possible for us to provide technology to those who need it most. By refurbishing and donating laptops and other devices, we’re able to reduce e-waste and make a positive impact on the environment, while also supporting our local communities.
At ERA, we believe that everyone deserves access to technology, regardless of their financial situation. By working with partners like Shell Canada and organizations like CIWA, we’re able to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families across Canada.
Thank you to Shell Canada for their continued support and commitment to giving back to the community, and to CIWA for their important work in supporting newcomer women in Calgary. Together, we’re building a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.
