ERA Donates 17 Laptops to Bow Valley College – School of Global Access

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Bow Valley College – School of Global Access in Calgary, Alberta, with a recent donation of 17 refurbished laptops. This donation will directly benefit students who face financial barriers and lack access to essential technology.

The School of Global Access provides education and resources to newcomers, refugees, and low-income learners looking to build a better future in Canada. Many of these students are developing vital digital literacy skills — an increasingly important part of education and employment in today’s world.

Having access to a personal computer at home allows students to complete coursework, practice computer skills, and stay connected to their educational community. For those who do not have the means to purchase a device, receiving a donated laptop can significantly improve their learning experience and opportunities.

Through electronics recycling and secure data destruction, ERA is committed to reducing e-waste while empowering communities with refurbished technology. Donations like this help bridge the digital divide and create lasting social impact.
