Supporting Frontline Social Workers: ERA Donates Technology to Jewish Child and Family Service in Winnipeg

By electronic recycling association September 12, 2024

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is excited to share its tech donation to the Jewish Child and Family Service (JCFS) in Winnipeg, MB. As part of ERA’s ongoing commitment to giving back to local communities, 10 laptops, 2 desktop computers, and 2 projectors were donated to the organization, providing essential technology that will benefit both staff and community programs.

JCFS, which offers a range of services including mental health support, family counseling, and community outreach, is set to put the new technology to good use. With their existing equipment aging (most over four years old), the laptops and computers will primarily assist frontline social workers in their day-to-day tasks. These workers often operate in the field, visiting clients and offering vital services to those in need. The portable laptops will enable them to maintain efficiency and accessibility while out in the community.

In addition, the donated projectors will be used to support community education presentations, helping JCFS enhance its outreach efforts and provide valuable information to the public.

The Electronic Recycling Association’s mission to support non-profits with affordable technology is driven by the belief that technology should be an enabler, not a barrier. We invite other organizations and individuals to join us in this cause. Through donations and support, we can collectively make a significant impact, ensuring that more non-profits have the tools they need to succeed.
