The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is thrilled to announce its recent donation of three desktop computers to Les Amis de Maywood, a low-income seniors’ residence in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. This donation is set to make a significant impact by enhancing the daily lives of the residents.
Les Amis de Maywood, home to many seniors who rely on government and city grants, faces ongoing challenges in accessing modern technology. With 132 units in the residence, the tenant committee—comprised of eight members—struggles to effectively communicate and organize activities. Currently, only two committee members have personal computers, and the entire building shares just one public computer. One resident even uses a very outdated machine but cannot afford to replace it.
These computers will provide essential support in tenant meetings, helping the committee efficiently create and distribute bulletins across the residence’s nine floors. The ERA is proud to help bridge this technology gap, ensuring that Les Amis de Maywood’s seniors can stay connected and informed.
