The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) was pleased to donate a laptop and a projector to SWEA Toronto. This equipment will be used to support their office work

SWEA, Swedish Women’s Educational Association Inc. is a global non-profit association for Swedes and Swedish-speaking women who are or have lived abroad. SWEA is both a meeting point and a network, with links all over the world that make life abroad easier and provide support when moving and returning to Sweden.

SWEA is about 160 Swedish-speaking women, of all ages who live in Toronto & Ottawa and the surrounding area and meet many times during the year and come up with a lot of fun things together. Every year they organize cozy events such as shrimp parties, summer BBQs, stick & drink, book clubs, bowling, coffee meetings and trips where they have the chance to meet new friends, inspire each other and speak Swedish. The annual Christmas market at Daniels Spectrum in downtown Toronto is one of their most popular events. The Christmas market spreads Swedish culture and tradition to all Toronto residents.

The ERA works with charities across the country to provide refurbished electronics for their programs. This gives them access to reliable technology while allowing them to apply their resources to what they’re good at, developing programs to help Canadians struggling with poverty, health concerns or are otherwise experiencing misfortune. Because the Electronic Recycling Association is an advocate of equality, we are not specifically affiliated with a given charity. The ERA helps hundreds of charitable organizations each year through the donation of necessary computer equipment. Organizations qualified for donations through ERA’s donation program include: registered charities, non-profit organizations, care facilities (seniors’ homes, hospitals, daycares, etc.) and educational institutions.

We strive to meet reasonable requests for IT and related equipment, such as computers, laptops, projection equipment, printers, phones and related peripherals. Our goal is to fulfill every single reasonable request for a computer donation that we receive, and we are thrilled to announce that we are getting close to achieving this goal. Since 2004, we have donated thousands of computers to Canadians in need and this number grows daily.
