The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to work with clients like Thales Canada that support our donation programs. Together we were able to donate a desktop computer, laptop, and printer to the Jamaican Canadian Association Alberta (JCAA) which will be used by the administrative department to help facilitate their library program. The library program helps seniors and members of JCAA conduct research and training. We would like to thank Thales Canada for contributing to this donation!
Combining a unique diversity of expertise, talents and cultures, Thales Canada designs and deliver extraordinary high technology solutions. Learn more here about what makes Thales a global leader in the markets it serves.
JCAA was formed in 1980 out of a need to share the Jamaican culture with the wider Calgary community. JCAA advocates and represents the Jamaican community on public matters which affect their welfare, integration and development. They provide social interaction among members and facilitate desirable relations with the community at large. They also respond to diverse social needs that provide leadership and opportunities to enhance the economic and cultural integration within the Canadian society
Since its inception, the Jamaican Canadian Association Alberta initiated and/or supported several community events within and outside of the City of Calgary. They have also supported numerous activities and initiatives in Jamaica. The JCAA has been an integral part of the Caribbean Community Council (CCC) the hosts of the annual Carifest, and most recently the Caribbean Heritage Sports Council (CHSC) sports day. They have also been involved in supporting other major cultural festivals including Globalfest and Reggaefest. They see themselves as an important part of the diversity fabric in our city.
The Electronic Recycling Association is committed to making electronic recycling beneficial for everyone including the environment! If you have any leftover electronic devices that you no longer need, or are not working as it should be, then we will take them off your hands, refurbish them, before giving them to charities across Canada.
We strive to meet reasonable requests for IT and related equipment, such as computers, laptops, projection equipment, printers, phones and related peripherals. Our goal is to fulfill every single reasonable request for a computer donation that we receive, and we are thrilled to announce that we are getting close to achieving this goal. Since 2004, we have donated thousands of computers to Canadians in need and this number grows daily. If you would like to donate contact us at 1-877-9EWASTE or book a pickup online.
