Who’s caring for the caregivers during this pandemic?

Regroupement Des Aidantes et Aidants Naturels de Montreal is a non-profit organization that works to improve the living conditions of caregivers in Montreal. They offer various workshops and support groups which unfortunately stopped due to the pandemic.

Caring for a loved one is both a physically and emotionally daunting task in the most ordinary of circumstances.  Add a global pandemic, and the task also becomes an extremely lonely one.

Currently, they are working on moving these programs online but some of their members do not have access to electronics or the internet. There was one member in particular who is an elderly woman who takes care of her severely disabled son on her own. In addition to not having any respite currently, she lives isolated from her usual activities. She has no computer or internet connection.  Regroupement Des Aidantes et Aidants Naturels de Montreal reached out to ERA to help find a solution so that she can break her isolation through internet access.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently donated a laptop to Regroupement Des Aidantes et Aidants Naturels de Montreal and we were thrilled to provide this member with a laptop to help her connect to all the organization’s online workshops and support groups.

The Electronic Recycling Association is committed to making electronic recycling beneficial for everyone including the environment! If you have any leftover electronic devices that you no longer need, or are not working as it should be, then we will take them off your hands, refurbish them, before giving them to charities across Canada.

We strive to meet reasonable requests for IT and related equipment, such as computers, laptops, projection equipment, printers, phones and related peripherals. Our goal is to fulfill every single reasonable request for a computer donation that we receive, and we are thrilled to announce that we are getting close to achieving this goal. Since 2004, we have donated thousands of computers to Canadians in need and this number grows daily.

Your donation can make all the difference to someone, as well as helping to reduce the impact of e-waste. Be part of the solution by donating your devices today. Call us at 1877-9EWASTE to book a pickup.
